PRP Microneedling Facial
Seeking the perfect glow? MD Skin Lab is here to help! Our PRP Microneedling is a minimally invasive and non-surgical approach to skin regeneration. This innovative treatment utilizes the powerful growth factors of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a substance derived from your own blood that is rich in growth factors. These growth factors promote healthy, radiant skin by stimulating collagen production and tissue repair. By combining the power of PRP with the precision of the Health Canada and FDA-approved SkinPen device, our skilled aestheticians deliver microneedling treatment targeting specific skin depths, triggering the body's natural healing process. Let’s dive into the specifics of this transformative procedure!
PRP Microneedling Explained
What is PRP Microneedling?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a well-known procedure that utilizes your blood's platelets (regenerative cells) to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate collagen production. As our skin ages, the body's ability to produce collagen starts to decrease. With the use of platelet-rich plasma, collagen can be boosted as the skin begins to heal through the procedure, ultimately creating new skin.
The PRP Microneedling incorporates two minimally invasive anti-aging modalities to increase epidermal thickness and refine the skin's texture. The first method is microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, and the other is platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is microneedled down to specific depths of the skin that products won’t penetrate.
Who Is It For And Am I A Candidate?
If you're looking for a rejuvenated and youthful radiance, our PRP Microneedling is the perfect option. With this treatment, you can experience the benefits of diminishing hyperpigmentation, refining pores, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, fading acne scars, achieving smoother skin texture, and tightening and brightening dull skin.
If you feel that your skin has lost its youthful glow, have acne scars, or want to improve skin texture, you are a good candidate for a PRP Microneedling. Your aesthetician will assess your skin and review your medical history during your consultation to ensure the treatment is right for you.
How Does PRP Microneedling Work?
Once your blood has been drawn, it is placed in a centrifuge to isolate and extract the blood plasma component. The application of PRP is performed throughout the microneedling treatment with the SkinPen.
The SkinPen uses its micro needles to create microchannels on the skin. This process helps the platelet-rich plasma liquid penetrate deeply into the dermis to promote tissue regeneration and collagen synthesis. With repeated sessions, patients can expect the skin to look more youthful, plumper and smoother.
